블리자드의 온라인게임 <월드 오브 워크래프트>가 역대 온라인게임 중 가장 높은 리뷰점수를 받은 게임이 됐다.
외국 게임웹진과 잡지의 게임평점을 모아 전체적인 순위를 매기는 것으로 유명한 ‘게임랭킹스닷컴’에 따르면 <월드 오브 워크래프트>는 평균 91.8점(100점 만점)을 얻으며 1위를 차지했다.
2위를 차지한 게임은 <세컨드 라이프>. 최근 아이템 현금거래로 해외에서도 화제가 됐던 <세컨드 라이프>는 90.7점을 얻으며 커뮤니티형 온라인게임으로는 드물게 높은 점수를 받았다.
또 한때 세계 3대 온라인게임으로 손꼽히던 미씩엔터테인먼트의 <다크 에이지 오브 카멜롯: 플래티넘 에디션>은 90.0점을 얻었다. <다크 에이지 오브 카멜롯>은 특히 PC 일반 패키지와 3번째 확장팩 <카타콤>, 2번째 확장팩 <슈라우디드 아일> 등이 각각 7위, 11위, 14위에 올라 눈길을 끌었다.
이외 4위 <이브 온라인>, 5위 <에버퀘스트>, 6위 <파이널 판타지 11>에 올랐고 엔씨소프트가 퍼블리싱하는 <시티 오브 히어로>가 85.7점을 받으며 10위에 랭크됐다.
한국 개발사가 만든 게임중에서는 <리니지 2>가 84.0점으로 16위에 올랐다. <리니지2>는 지난해 말 북미-유럽 지역 월간접속자(월 1회 이상 접속해 게임을 즐기는 이용자 수) 수가 10만명을 돌파, 지난 한해동안 25%의 성장률을 기록했다.
그라비티의 <라그나로크>도 82.4점을 기록하며 비교적 상위권인 27위에 올랐다. 하지만 <RF온라인>(56.3점) <릴>(54.4점) <아크로드>(45.3점)는 각각 86위, 88위, 91위에 올라 비교적 하위권에 머물렀다.
한편 1월중 국내 오픈베타테스트를 앞두고 있는 <던전앤드래곤즈 온라인>은 75.9점으로 48위에 올랐다. 보다 자세한 게임순위와 평점은 게임랭킹스닷컴(www.gamerankings.com)에서 확인할 수 있다.
